In 1983, I started my professional journey as a construction engineer. It was a fulfilling career that developed my project management and strategic planning skills. But little did I know, a new passion was about to take hold of my life.

In 1993, during a work trip to Finland, my Finnish colleagues introduced me to golf. It was love at first swing! The game instantly fascinated me, and I immersed myself in the challenges and joys it offered.

By 1995, I had achieved a significant milestone, completing 18 holes with just 79 strokes. My dedication and rapid improvement made me one of Estonia’s top golf players. In 1997, I represented Estonia in the European Team Championships for the first time, and the journey began.

Traveling worldwide on golf trips, I witnessed golf courses’ expansive beauty and diversity. Each destination brought new experiences, shaping my vision and dreams. I started to dream bigger and bolder.

In 2003, after 20 years in construction, I changed the trajectory of my life. Due to various factors and driven by my passion for golf, I left my position as the head of the construction company to establish the Estonian Golf & Country Club. This project combined my expertise in construction with my love for golf, creating a landmark destination for golf enthusiasts.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been nurturing EGCC and Golf Village. It’s been a journey of continuous growth. The journey continues, and an ambitious vision is still fueled by passion, bringing me joy and fulfillment every day.

For me, it is not just about building a successful golf club; it’s also about maintaining the joy and love for the game.

It’s possible to blend work and passion, and my life project is solid proof of that.  When your work aligns with your passion, it brings joy and satisfaction. And if you can turn your job into a game you love, and your game into your work, the possibilities are limitless.
